Tufted Ice Plant

A miniature gem of the South African mesembs, Tufted Ice Plant is a fabulous cold hardy succulent for use in rock gardens and containers. Blooming in early to mid-spring, D. sphalmanthoides’ evergreen foliage literally disappears under a mat of bright magenta flowers. Out-of-bloom, the tiny, cylindrical blue-green leaves resemble a miniature ocean anemone.
